When the IDNR’s budget was slashed, they were instructed to make up the deficit by selling our trees. So basically what’s happening here is our state forests are being stripped so that bureaucrats in Indianapolis can keep their jobs and maintain their budgets. Ironic that the Department of Natural Resources, instead of protecting our natural resources, is clear-cutting the state’s natural resources to ensure the continuity of its existence.
