We love having guests in the studio! If you have a topic that relates to Brown county and would like to be a guest on the air, please use the Contact form to reach out to us.

We record interviews every Tuesday night in our studio on the 1st floor of the Brown County History Center. 6-7:30pm. Please make arrangements with us prior to showing up to verify the time and date of your session.

Most interviews last 7-9 minutes and are edited down to 5-7 minutes. There may be some exceptions, but that is the standard interview length. Given the short time, it’s best to come in prepared. We recommend that you come ready with the following:

  • What is your topic or subject?
  • What are the 3 main points you wish to discuss?
  • Will we interview you, or will you have a prepared speech written?
    • If you are preparing notes to read from, 750 words is usually results in 5 minutes of speaking time.
  • Where can we find you online?
    • Website
    • Social media profiles

Musicians

We have one musical guest each month. Please let us know in advance if you will provide pre-recorded music, or if we will record you live in the studio.

If you provide music files, we can take them on CD, USB drive, or online download. WAV, MP3, AIFF files are preferred. Please provide them the night of your interview or sooner.

Recording LIVE in-studio. Please speak with one of our engineers to make arrangements. In most cases we can record up to 4 channels simultaneously, using mic’s and/or DI’s. NO overdubs. Acoustic instruments work best, but we’ve recorded “literally everything” including electric drums, bird calls, a Theremin, and electric guitars. Tell us what you plan on playing and we’ll figure out a way to get you on tape.
